I grew up loving films in general and my love for independent movies has been growing for more than a decade. Film festivals are hub for these indie films and help to create the ultimate movie experience. I hope to share this with you, along with other fun products and events.

I am a 20 something year old who is still in the midst of figuring life out. In my spare time I like to spend my time reading, dabbling in amateur photography, and watching movies. Film making as an art form is a way of expressing ideas, culture, beliefs, emotions, and so many other facets of life. As such, I believe that each of us can connect with and be inspired by movies in our own way. So for me, indulging in films is a way to escape the harsh realities of life, boredom, and tedium, to educate and uplift myself, as well as to understand bits of the world and experiences that I may not have the opportunity to witness firsthand.

I’m a Business Analyst at a bank who holds a Bachelor of Science degree, so for me films are a way to kick back, relax, and let go of the stress in my day job. My preference in genre varies with my mood. Sometimes I like a film that makes me think – inside or outside the box, other times I love one that gets me on the floor laughing. Throw in some dynamic, relatable characters and a director with an eye for detail who can pull me into the story that’s being depicted and I’m sold.

Kristine is a writer who has grown accustomed to fashioning biographies in third person. She is a University of Toronto graduate and her poetry and short fiction have been published in several literary magazines. Movies have always stood on a little soap box and her tastes range from Hitchcock’s “Foreign Correspondent” to Gregg Araki’s “Mysterious Skin”. Kristine values sharp scripts featuring social commentary and movies that explore the emotional turmoil of an isolated individual. She also enjoys wandering the city, haunting cafes and consuming copious amounts of caffeinated beverages.
