Regent Park is a lower income community in Toronto that is currently undergoing redevelopment. Regent Park Film Festival was started in 2003 to provide the community access to world class films and to showcase diverse films that reflected their community. The 14th Annual Regent Park Film Festival ran from November 23-26 and, as always, was free to the public.
Rogers Audience Choice Award went to The Stairs by director Hugh Gibson. It’s a documentary about three people’s life on the Toronto streets.
