The 2016 Toronto Open Roof Film festival is currently being held at 99 Sudbury, in the vicinity of Queen and Davenport and King and Sudbury. The festival showcases music and films from independent film makers and artists worldwide. It provides a summer experience with the best of both worlds: film and music, sprinkled with food and amazing company. It is a wonderful way to spend summer evenings, enjoying art under the stars. This year’s festival runs from June 21 – August 24, 2016. There is still time to catch a show, so purchase your tickets now https://www.universe.com/users/open-roof-festival-HH46C.
The gates open at 7pm and the event ends at 11 pm. There are a number of booths, goodies, and giveaways. There are even ping pong tables available for those who want to play before the main event begins. The atmosphere is one of care free summer fun, and the pre-performance music blaring through the speakers helps create a party vibe.
Overall the event is well put together, and I recommend it. Check out my review of one of the festival’s feature films, The Fits.
