Making its world premiere, The Re-Naming of PKOLS is a documentary about the WSÁNEC First Nations steps to re-name Mt. Douglas, located in Greater Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The mountain is located in their traditional territory and is known as PKOLS by their community. The documentary is the third preclude to The Grandfather of all Treaties at imagineNative Film Festival 2015. It’s the first one that leaves the viewer with hope because its the first one where the indigenous people are able to empower themselves and succeed. The story is very intriguing and is more deserving of a feature role. The current length seems incomplete. Its worth viewing, though, and gets four out of five stars.
